brynnmcleanThis was also originally posted on tumblr and Pillowfort and is a fic masterpost, this time of all the Tolkien fics I have posted on AO3 to date. Out of storms is part of a larger 'verse whenever my writing inspiration swings back to Middle Earth.
beneath the stars - Kíli/Tauriel, movie!verse-ish, written prior to BOFA [AO3]
After the Battle of Five Armies and the Slaying of Smaug, King Thranduil held a feast in honor—grudging honor, but honor nonetheless—for the King Under the Mountain. Tauriel had mixed feelings about this feast because it meant that Kili would be in attendance. There was a part of Tauriel that wondered if the connection they had formed was indeed some dream.
blessed - Éomer & Éowyn, book!verse-ish [AO3]
The Great Hall of Meduseld was empty, the evening fires burned down to black and grey ashes, and sleep would not come to the new King of Rohan.
Change is as steady and insistent as the Anduin.
Otherwise known as the fic where Éowyn finds Éomer brooding in the middle of the night and they talk about things, including Théodred, the Pelennor, Éowyn’s gender, and Faramir.
the letter delivered, the year decembered - Arwen Undómiel & Bilbo Baggins, book!verse-ish [AO3]
She was to protect Rivendell’s borders and keep safe what part of the road to Mithlond she could, but she looked at her own unfaded skin and tasted helplessness like blood in her mouth. Her fingertips felt cold, but it was not from the breath of winter. Perhaps tea and the company of a dear friend would soothe her.
Arwen resolved to keep busy while Aragorn was away.
out of storms comes strength for tomorrow - Tauriel-centric, fusion of book and movie!verse and then I reject canon and substitute my own [AO3]
Tauriel did not fade, though her grief often felt like a shadow threatening to swallow her whole.
After the Battle, Tauriel decides to leave Mirkwood.
out of grief, joy - Tauriel & Haldir, sequel to out of storms, WIP, currently on chapter one [AO3]
Spring will come again, and the winds of change with it.
Tauriel comes to Lothlórien.
